Art as Architecture

Art as Architecture

Architecture comes alive and becomes a dazzling portal into alternate spatial possibilities in the heart of New York City's iconic Times Square.

Art as Architecture prototypes ideas for future public spaces, where concrete and steel are digitally overgrown.

Part of deCODE Experiential, a digital art and technology series curated by As We Are in collaboration with Lightbox. Through a series of experiments we've imagined a flexible mix of holograms, AR and screen experiences that could reshape future urban landscapes.

The Art as Architecture concept addresses how artists can affect change in public spaces and thus the cities we live in.

The full exhibition premiered in May 2019 in New York City and featured a selection of our friends and artists:, Adam Swaab, Arben Vllasaliu, David Braun, Frank J Guzzone, Kidmograph, Marcus Chaloner, Maxim Zhestkov, Maya Man, Oleg Pashkovsky, rek0de, Render Fruit, Sam Cannon, Simon Alexander-Adams, Shyama, Totis Raphael, Vincent Houzé, Zach Lieberman, and Zolloc.
